Seatbelts in my CL...

I have just taken my '98 CL500 out of storage for a planned run down to the south of france at the end of May. She started easily and is running well but the seat belts, front and rear, have decided not to recoil. Pull them out and I have to manually feed them back in like a flacid tapeworm. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Many thanks,
