Headlight covers fitted - cleaning the glue ?

OK, I've finally fitted my headlight covers to my Nob ( supplied by Paul Cundy ) and they look quite good and certainly change the appearance of the car for the better.
A mate did it for me ( he's good at that sort of thing ). But, he did struggle with the glue stuff. It's been smoothed off as much as possible ( it's not as easy as using silicon sealant ). Anyway, my question is: Is there some kind of solvent I can use to smooth it off once it's been cured ?

Not sure now its dry - I would have used a lint-free alcohol soaked rag when the sealant was wet and smoothed it off.A mate did it for me ( he's good at that sort of thing ). Dear All,
Sorry I don't offer a fitting service. The glue is Thikaflex or an equivalent so any good car shop or bodywork place ought to have a solvent for cleaning excess glue. Yes they are fiddly to fit but any good DIYer ought to be able to do them themslves but if you are not confident get someone else to do it. Do several "test" fits first and then go for the glue when you are quite happy with the position.
