After what seems like ages (well it has been 18 months!...) my engine is now ready to be Dyno'd!
Going up to Pete Knights on Monday morning to see what she can do... Very excited to finally get it running and to see what sort of power it will produce. Just hoping that it will be able to get through the IVA emmissions test OK...
Will let you know how it goes!
Cheers,
Mart

I'm not sure exactly!
Its a 434ci Dart 'Little M' Block with Brodix Heads (330's I think).
You need to ask either Clive or Wayne what else is in there.. :-) It's basically the same as Wayne's motor but with a steel block.
It has a big Kinsler injection thingy on the top with nice big trumpets and all the bits inside are very expensive....
I am running with a Motec M8 with twin wideband lambdas, so will be interesting to see what the emmissions are like. I just hope that my loom works OK as I made it all myself...
I'm going for 599bhp.... (if it starts!!!!)

Mart good luck with dyno. By the way K/N builds a air filter that will fit on top of that beast and clear the hood if its a GTR. Look at their web site andgo to race car filters its the same set up that sprint cars use. Actually two elements each serves 1 bank of stacks. I have the set up on my LS series with Kinsler in a GTR. lEE

Just got back from the dyno testing. Been a very long day! It took 7 hours to get the engine running as there were a few problems with ecu software and importing the maps. Anyway, it started and sounded amazing. We only had time to run for about 30 mins so going up again on Wed to finish mapping. Still made over 220lb.ft at 13% throttle with a basic map, so looking promising!
Will let you know how it goes on Wed.

Well, did the final mapping and very happy with the results.
She made 606bhp and 570lb.ft of torque.
Because we have gone for a mild cam, the torque curve is very flat. It was generating over 440lb.ft of torque at 2200rpm with only 3% throttle!! After that it varies from 500 to 570 lb.ft between 3000rpm and 6500rpm.
Should be enough for me!!
Here are a few pictures and videos of the runs.... The throttle response video is quite good!
Cheers,
Mart
