Battery dead - what next??
Discussion
Just gone out to the car, went to open door - no power to button and I had left it unlocked. Anyway, tried to lock/unlock - again nowt, tried both sets of keys and neither will lock/unlock so I presume the battery is dead - which, after last using it on Saturday, is a concern.
However, first question - how do I get in?? PM's please, if you will.
Next question, any special steps to take to recharge battery, like, can I jump it from my other car? if I trickle charge, do I need to disconnect all the cables? will the alarm need resetting once power comes back?
All help appreciated!!

If you have the anderson connector jump leads, then connect them up to either another battery or another car and then insert the anderson connector to the connection just behind the front near side wheel. Leave it for about two or three minutes then start your car in the usual manner. Don't disconnect from the other battery/car immediately, leave it for a few minutes before you disconnect. Obviously it sounds like either a dead cell in your battery, or the alternators not charging.
If you don't have the anderson connector leads, then you need to remove the nearside front wheel, undo the two screw at the back of the wheel arch and remove the battery cover panel and you'll see the battery, and connect your jump leads directly to the battery terminals and start in the usual manner.
No Alarm re-setting is needed other than with you key and just doing a lock... Unlock, and it will be reset.
