BMW 330ci auto to manual Golf GTi / A3
Discussion
After 6 years of BMW ownership I'm fairly convinced that I am going over to the VW/Audi side again.
Anyone had experience of the change to either a Mk5 Golf Gti or an 2.0T Audi A3 and are there any downsides?
I've had enough of auto gearboxes and my other cars (Mini and TVR Chimaera) are manual so it's not a big deal anyway.
I've had 5 GTi's and 4 Corrado's plus an original A3 1.8T Sport in the past so I am used to them but my Golf 4Motion was a real dog.
Also, anyone Superchipped (or some other chipping system) either car and would they still be driveable on Sussex roads? Oddly, the VW upgrade is about 63bhp and the Audi only about 43.
Thanks
Correction - the chip upgrade is 41bhp for either - I read the wrong report.
