Nice pics and scenery am heading your way for xams.
Did you get any visiters from up north. I just wondered about the Elise with the yellow stripes as I think the NZ importer Roger Phillips had some of these pics on his website. Shame your Esprit decided to call it a day, hope shes fixed now. What sized wheels are you running, they look really good.

Hate to sound like some daft surfer (dude), but the scenery looks awesome. Not a lot of tarmac in sight though.
Judging by the dust on the S2 is the old Landie in the background a better choice of daily transport than the Esprit?

Cheers

The Esprit is up and running again.

Actually that isn't quite dust on the car, it's pollen. (spring here at the moment). The trees were dumping shit loads on everything.

The Landi is a beast. Great for heading for the hills but scary to drive over 50mph.

The wheels are Simmons 3 piece. 15" 50 profile
225 on the front and 245 on the back.

Most of the cars were from the South Island but the 2 V8 Esprits and the Elise were from up north.

If some of the scenery looks familiar, the hills in the background were used extensively in Lord of the Rings, in particular the battle scenes, with the 'Remarkables' mountain range as a backdrop.

Perhaps I can do a Tarmac page Mark?
Did you spot the S1 in the garage?

The S1 is my brother's. It got modified to be a race car but was never raced. We are putting it back as a road car. (but leaving the new fabricated suspension and improved chassis)

Managed to get a lot of trim bits from a wreaker in the states. My car has been useful to judge whats missing.

Actually the car is on the oldest espritfactfile register. It appears to be Esprit no.6 off the production line. Two cars were sent to NZ as kits as a trial for Steel Bros in NZ to assemble, but nothing came of anticipated production. Steel bros had been making S4 Sevens under licence. (their main line of work is truck & trailer units). The other S1 is believed to be in Auckland but I haven't traced it yet. If anyone knows its location let me know.

Work is progressing steadily on the car so will publish photos when its on the road.
