Wheel Polishing
Discussion
I've posted them on here before, and happily reccomend them.....
Lepsoms
Railway Industrial Est.
Gillingham
Kent.
They strip the wheel, straighten it, anthracite it, lathe the finish back on and the powder coat lacquer them and cook 'em !!!
Mine looked fabulous when they were done. About £30 - £35 a wheel...
Sorry but haven't got their number to hand...will find it tomorrow.
Cheers

Had mine done at Gillingham as well. Job was first rate, and lots have said how good the wheels look.
That was Nov 01, £140 for cash. Money well spent IMHO.
Thanks,
Mark

OK, the full brief....
one day service: you give them the car with wheels still attached. They remove the wheels from the car, the tyres from the wheels, work their magic and put it all back together:-£155
Two other options,
1) You take your wheels off your car, and get them to Gillingham by courier or in the boot of a mundano. They then take the tyres off for you etc etc.
I was on holiday for 5 days and this was plenty of time for them to sort out my alloys. 3 days minimum on this, all for £140.
2) As above, but you remove the tyres as well. This one is £120.
Worth a call to confirm that my info isn't out of date/they may be quite busy etc etc. There, that's the government health warning out of the way.

Hope this helps, cheers

I've seen a few cars that have had their OZ's done by this firm in Gillingham, and pics from the S meeting at V.W. which I think are your S 1.5 Mark? (Johno) and they all look very good.
Even though I'm in West London I think I'm going to take mine there - once I fix the rest of my cars (see "So how was your day?! in General Gassing)
Cheers,
Dave.

After being told there was nowhere in Scotland that could refurb my wheels im happy to say i had them done locally in December and the results are really good.
Cleaned and polished (not laquered) for 50 quid a corner including removing tyres, refitting and balancing.
WHEEL SERVICES, have a place in Plains (01236 842554) and a depot in Kirkcaldy (01592 655911).
Once Noel at V8 has worked his magic on the car and its back on the road i will make an effort to get along to a meet and let folks see the results.

Beat me to it Paul!
I went for powder coating in the end (see this thread for my deliberations between powder coating vs. diamond cutting) but I was really pleased with the job they did, and they also offer a diamond cutting and polishing service. They'll take the rims with or without tyres but, from memory, don't have any provision to handle the entire car.
