So how many track day venues are there within, say, 80 miles of London?

I guess Brands Hatch, Bedford Autodrome and Silverstone are the obvious ones. Any others?

I suppose if you extend it to car control days and club-level sprints there's North Weald too.

Must be more low key venues? smile

if you start at Oxford Street they are all within 100 miles but only Thruxton, BRands, Lyden Hill, Bedford, Abingdon Goodwood and Silverstone are under 80 miles (Snetterton and Rockingham 80-100 miles)

Longcross.
Is that going again now? Curious to see where it was so I googled it and all that came back was reports of it being closed down?

not sure to be honest, I've sprinted there in the past and know they've had problems, there were events held there last year but not sure about their future. Shame, 'The Snake' section was great fun (in a daunting, tree-lined way!) and can often be seen substituting for public roads on tv and in films (wife is getting a bit bored of me interupting Spooks with cries of 'I've driven that!'laugh).

Interesting. I reckon the next move after a few more track days is into sprints, so I'm hoping there are plenty of local venues left open!

Do it! I've sprinted at Brands, Goodwood, Lydden, Longcross and Abingdon over the last three years. Mostly as part of the TWMC All Circuit championship:
