Right, I've noticed that the metap strap of my Ti watch was getting a bit gross - its time for a clean. Usually alcohol and a scrub with an old toothbrush would be my first port of call, but are there any solvents that work best / should be avoided with titanium? I wouldnt want it to tarnish or anything.

I'd go with mild soap and water.

Same for me. Do it every couple of weeks and I am always amazed how much it seems to make the watch look lighter and shinier. I believe that a lot of the time older Ti watches look dull purely because of dirt, my aerospace for example is 14 years old but after a clean has a lovely sheen to the Ti. Just an old tooth brush and mild soap.

I just suspend mine (using a pencil across the top) in a pint glass full of warm water with just a drop of soap overnight - comes up lovely.
