I have been told that it is possible to use SanDisk Extreme III cards with the Sony instead of forking out £500 for their 16GB cards, does anyone have experience of this?

You need an Sxs card converter. I think there's an Australian Company making them. Can't remember the name of them though.

It's basically a converter so you can use regular compact flash cards instead of the silly expensive SxS cards

I've heard a few people saying they've had no issues so far with them.

Of course you could just use Sandisk (other brands are available wink) express34 cards, providing they are fast enough instead of the Sony SXS cards.

Some more info on using SD cards.

My Z7 came with the card recording unit that takes CF cards, it works fine with the stupidly expensive Sony CF card....and an ExtremeIV as well biggrin

How are you finding the EX1?
