Well? I looked at a few prices, £300 to £500 ish, 20-30hp gain better throttle response etc. Hoping for a more "immediate" driving feel.

Money worth spending? Anyone done it?

Quite simply you could spend you money better elsewhere on the car to help it go faster, stop better and handle more smoothly.

I don't think much power is to be liberated from the car, tbh but it is worth removing that tiresome limiter.

As long as everything is aligned properly (www.pheonixmotorsport.co.uk) I would say the only essential upgrade is brakes.

I was thinkung of going down that road of remap/chip.... the man that done my old wrx an couple of trucks we have said.... NO NO NO NO... ( he ran an e34/e39 models ). i took him at his word, its his job so he wood no best. He reckons remap/chip is fab on all petrol/diesel turbo cars. had wrx done wiv him an was quicker on take off defo noticeable in that model, but an e39 m5 wiv the mental button ( sport mode ) on its like what else do you need???? Would spend my money on upgrade of brakes or ride. Bought a 99reg model a number of weeks ago an wooden do any more to it, purchase a gauage for oil pressure to watch that, but enjoy the factory gate madness.
