unknown wire off loom in egnine bay? advce wanted

I have put the loom in place tonight and i have spotted one wire that has had the plug snipped off the end and its tapped up. I havent done this so it must have been like it before.

The wire has the yellow sleeves on it and one says stepper and the other says engine kit.

any ideas what its for or if i need to worry about it.


Also what is the loom tied to when it comes out from the side of the battery and across the bulkhead and into the back of the engine?

as anyone got any pictures of an engine bay so i can see. Its been so long ive forgotton how it went together and i cant find the pictures i took of it before i stripped it.

I'll try to get you a couple of photos tomorrow morning. Got to have the panel off to check oil before a trip to Snowdon

That's not needed that one, it's spare for something. I assume they were thinking about 3dle Air control or something similar when first conceived.

Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to see much with the airboxes in place, what you will see though is that it's a horrible mess

If anyone else can post a neater set up I'd be keen to tidy mine up a bit!

I'll see if I can grab one later. Sorted all mine out last year but I think all the useful stuff you'd want to see is hidden now.
