Also there is a crossfire manual in pdf which has tons of info as the underlying car is an SLK. I got chrome hoops, auto roof and an S2000 wind deflector on mine as changes to the original and also sold the MB cd player and put an MP3 cd player with SD Card in instead so no need for a cd changer.

Well, there's a thing. I've had my '32 for 3 1/2 years now and I didn't know that! Thanks!!By the way......tyres. I use Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s and am about to change all 4 after 15000 miles since fitting..... Joy!!
Best accessory I bought for my car was a set of fitted luggage from Roadster Concept in Germany. 2 decent sized flat suitcases and a small one which fits in the boot hatch. Sufficient space for 2 weeks touring + work in Germany last year - and they fit precisely below the boot blind, so there's no problem with the roof down!
The car I am buying needs some remedial paintwork-aparently covered by MB 'goodwill' as car is less than 8 years old.
I am buying from a dealer (non franchise) and apparently the original owner did have authorisation for the repairs from MB but this expired in January and he then decided to sell the car.
The car went back to MB Plymouth where the relevant areas were photographed again and pictures sent to MB head office in Milton Keynes where apparently authorisation is given.
This happened on Tuesday. At the time of this post there has been no response from MB.
Is this unusual? I had thought that authorisation was normally provided within 24 hours if MB accepted the claim.
Car has full MB history, and was last serviced in December 2008.

Rust below the boot opening handle is a known issue. I had mine repaired last year (free of charge), but the repair wasn't sufficient and rust appeared again recently. So it has again been repaired free of charge - the body shop told me that MB has now provided 'further information' about how to rectify the fault properly.
I will be keeping a careful eye on it though.

They say it now takes between 6 to 8 weeks!
Would I be correct in thinking that if anyone else attempts repairs MB will refuse to touch the car in the future under their 'goodwill' scheme?

6-8 weeks is frankly ridiculous; advise them that time is of the essence or that you'll expect a reduced price - about £1000 less! I think it took a couple of weeks before my work was cleared and a couple of weeks then to book in to the body repair place (off site).
MB don't seem to want to admit to this design fault - for that's what it is as the problem is well known about.
