If you like to show off (well who doesnt we all have TVRs right!) then this is the event for you !

Apparently we made quite an impression last year (scaring dogs, waking babies and making small children cry) surprisingly they've asked if we can come again !

Any and all TVR's welcome, as before we'll feature in the parade through town then have our own spot to park inside the carnival grounds complete with Gazebo and my big drinks box to keep us going.

Carnival is on Sat 13th June (so yes unfortunately it overlaps with Lemans!) , parade kicks off at 11am all the way through town and down to the carnival site. Once on site there is no commitment to stay so even if you can just come for the parade and a short period at the carnival site you will still be more than welcome ! Of course there is plenty to do at the carnival (and we get in free for being in the parade of course) so why not make a whole day of it ?

Same as last year I will be offering bacon sarnies and coffee/tea at my house before we set off to join the parade. My wife has also offered to cook in the evening for anyone who is still around !

ETA: Pics from last year here , it was a fantastic sunny day Linky

The list so far

Mrs Bluecerbera (TBC with him indoors)
hiasakite (TBC)
Zippee (possible, TBC)
gunshot (assuming he gets back from Bruges ok the week before)
greenm (to be confirmed when he is back in the UK!)
buffoon (possible only, already busy doing other things that day)

And clashes with the Abingdon Motorsport CAR-nival, which usually has a large turnout of TVRs.

I've added a list of names to my original post, hopefully I can attract a few more people to the event , I need at least 4 to make it happen, so really need to confirm 6 people to allow for last minute drop outs and problems....

As it's a Saturday I 'may' be able to make this. How far is Brackley in relation to somewhere like Bedford or Milton Keynes?

Hi !
Need to confirm with Mr BC, but we're currently free on that date and it sounds like a laugh and something that the kids would enjoy ! Can you put us down as possibles ? (Cerbera and V8S). Cheers. smile

Apologies for the delay.
Sorry not around that weekend this year - we're down in Cornwall.

It was a good laugh last year

and the cars attracted a constant crowd

Dodsy

Slighly off topic and moving back to the suggestion of food in the evening, how about a BBQ which is nice and easy and those of us attending can contribute a little something towards it?

Saves your wife going to too much trouble cooking and as it will be summer, then seems silly not to BBQ biggrin

I dont know if we have a BBQ. The Mrs loves BBQ I dont so I will have to check with her and see if we own one (I think we do its in the garage somewhere) ! Sounds like a good idea though if the weather is good. I'll check with Mrs bigdods...

Maybe make an evening of it and get the neighbours round too.

Next door has a Jag E type V12 convertible , maybe he can join us in the parade too.

I like to light them... but not really allowed to after a few incidents in the past. I think its perfectly reasonable to put a whole pack of firelighters, firelighter gel and some good squirts of firelighter fluid on to get things going but apparently not......

rofl

sounds like my ex, he once put a whole pack of lighters and a fair amount of lighter fluid on one, and when it still failed to light, on went several good glugs of petrol yikes

certainly got the BBQ going, but also set fire to the lawn as well when he leapt back as the whole BBQ suddenly caught fire and he spilt the petrol everywhere.
