Unfortunately I live in a flat and have been bitten by the detailing bug! So im looking to buy a battery powered (or car powered) machine polisher as I have no power in my garage, im not looking to spend a crazy amount of money as I will only be doing it on my Car and bike

Any recommendations?

Get a convertor so you can run a 240v socket from a ciggy lighter in a car, and then get the halfords random orbital buffer (mains powered not ciggy powered).

battery poweres or lighter port powered buffers will be st. no two ways about it.

Make sure your inverter has the grunt to cope with the draw of your polisher if you go the above route, and keep an eye on your car battery charge.

Alternatively, if you have any Ryobi One+ tools, there's an orbital polisher for that range, which are tough enough for light industrial use as a rule, despite being battery powered. I've not tried (or seen in the UK) the particular piece of kit (Ryobi P430) though.

Tbh the cheap polishers that you'll get in halfords and general motor factors aren't worth the £20. They have nowhere near the strength needed to cut through paint to give a decent finish. They're fine for taking residue off though. If it was me I'd get the car corrected full by a pro detailer and then maintain it well yourself.
