M6 to Perth

Normally go through Biggar and by-pass Edinbrugh.

The roads up there are really scenic so can anyone suggest a few nice roads to take as alternatives?

Usually take car but want to take bike soon.

M74 all the way up to the M80, then M9, and A9. More boring for a longer way, but then if you take the A91 instead of A9, go to Yetts o' Muckhart then take the A823/822 up to Crieff and go across on the A85. A823 is a good twisty road, lots of surface and camber changes. Would be 'interesting' in the wet on a bike, I imagine. esp in winter.

Try going by A701 Moffat over the Devils Beeftub, or the A7 all the way to Edinburgh (watch the cameras).

From Edinburgh to Perth, leave the M90 at Junction 8 (A91 St Andrews), then take the old A90 (now B996 and A912) to Perth via Glenfarg.
