I while back I had some problems with my roof (it flew off!) and is now repaired but not a 100% solution.

I got a new, unpainted roof off fleabay - looks ideal but when I attempt to fit it to the car the front lip is too big to fit into the groove.

My original roof was the type with stuck on side panels - the new one has moulded ones. It also seems heavier and its not painted or the underside trimmed yet.

Is there different specs? Do I have any chance of getting this new one to be a good fit? Is there a chance this is off a Tuscan 2 and completely different?

Any recommended (sensibly priced!) places that might be able to fit, paint and trim it? I'm in Berkshire.

Edit - Rubbish - I've screwed up the title!! How do I edit the topic to say Mk 1 roofs?

There was 3 types of roofs for the MK1 that I know of, unfortunately each one is custom fitted to the car when new, so may or may not fit with modifying to another car.

Ben,

Give me a shout and we can compare the roofs that we have. I also know a guy that works in Fibreglass so may be able to help.

Tuscan 2 roof is quiet a bit heavier than any one of the Tuscan 1 variants.
