My first race in 6 years!

Only been on my downhill bike half a dozen times since i stopped racing 6 years ago but last weekend went to my local at pitfichie near aberdeen for the first round of the sda series, 24 seconds off the fastest time i done a 2.58 which i was pleased with, heres a couple of pics of the old M1 holding up great even after 7 years of abuse!

Well that was the plan, however i beat guys i used to race against years back that didnt stop racing when i did, so i'm gonna start training again and go chasing podiums again, i was ranked 5th overall in scotland when i decided to stop... bad move.

I've never tried racing at all, though went for an afternoon at pitfichie a few months ago and found on the tougher going stuff I'm absolutely useless! I couldn't do that, I'd definitely have bunged myself at a tree, so mucho respect for even getting it down the hill in one go!
