why have the mclarens got odd exhausts all of a sudden?

i noticed today during practice why is one massive and one small ?

Its been like that off and on all season. Its due to different cooling requirements of oil and water systems apparently.

Just to add, this is because of the rules that don't allow chimneys or slats in the bodywork,
there is a slight loophole in the rules in the dimensions of the exhaust outlets. (Really badly worded, but I think you'll know what I mean)
