Not much in this world winds me up. This however has me near boiling point. The Gurkhas have served this country selflessly for generations. Their current treatment by this government is dispicable and the people who made these rules should

The current shower of S£it Labour Crooks of Politicians running this country should be shot for treason IMHO. It is a total disgrace and so dishonnourable that I am shamed to be British..

I have had the privilege to meet and serve with a number of Gurkhas and there has not been one that I would not welcome into my home.

If you agree, do the decent thing please. Add your name to the petition

Signed.

The bunch of self-serving clowns that are destroying the UK in the name of 'government' should be ashamed of themselves over this. It seems the only control on immigration they have is to send ex-serving Gurkhas back to Nepal, while having a total free-for-all in Dover for everyone else with a 'student' visa and a good line in outright hatred for all things Western.

It should be pointed out that the French show much more honour in the way they treat foreigners that enlist into the French Foreign Legion. They are automatically entitled to a French citizenship and a passport after only three years service. Should they get injured in the line of action they are able to apply for citizenship on their pending discharge.

Not sure what it is worth, but I have written to my local MP, to both their home address and the house of commons.

Anyone got a template-ish (with a few changes made) letter we can send to our MPs?

Don't often bother with this sort of thing but this makes my p**s boil

We allow immigrants to settle here and give them support with housing and even help to purchase cars, and then people like this who have actually added value to our society are treated in this way.

It's those that are currently running, I mean destroying, our country that should be sent away.

I will happily write to my local MP about this and will encourage colleagues and friends to do so as well.

Both me and Mrs S have signed. When I saw this on the news it made me feel ashamed to be British. How can we treat men, who have fought for King/Queen and country, sacrificed so much in so many cases and earnt less than their forces colleagues, so badly......it's beyong me but then nothing about winky napoleon the pig brown and his merry band of robbing dogs should really be a surprise. They let thousands of people from all four corners of the earth enter our once great country willy nilly without a by your leave and then support those people with every state aid going but turn their backs as far as I'm concerned on the very people that provide the protection that allows them to carry on their meddling socialist tinkering experiment on our country.

mad As I have seen said above, it makes my p*** boil.

Not signed. They do not serve for 'queen and country', they serve because the pay in the British Army is a darn sight more than the pay of a Nepali hill peasant.

So you want to create a petition. When was the last time a petition was actually valued?

I would recommend going to your MP, if it can be brought up by more people in Parliament it is the only way to get anything done.

Unfortunately most MPs forget they work for us, not tell us what to do.

Same could be said for many squaddies who sign up for there own reasons though, doesnt mean they are not heroes, doesnt mean they are any less deserving. My grandad served with Gurkhas and he said they where brave and were willing to die for our country, the very least we can do in return is give them a place to stay and grow old.

A good % of all VC's handed out went to Gurkha's, even if were for money they are probably more worthy of living here than you are I.

Done.

I'm frankly embarrassed by the governments' decision on this, and was spitting blood watching Phil Woolas' justification speech...

This isn`t about their reasons for joining up, it`s about giving them the right to remain if they so desire after they have finished their service.

There`s less deserving people allowed to remain than these brave men.

Almost embarassed to be English these days, if they were from eastern europe, making little or no contribution, we would welcome them with open arms, benefits and housing.
Foe whatever reason they chose to fight, to defend our island, they fought, they made sacrifices, they are deserving of our support.

You may well be right Mr Bushmaster, but it my understanding that all members of the armed forces take an oath (either literally or by inference) to protect the Monarch and the Country and as far as I'm concerned they have more than demonstrated their loyalty to this country. So don't sign the petition, it's a free country......well actually it isn't any more and especially if you're a Gurkha.

Go back to your rain forest and hug a tree.
