Always wonder what happens to the money 'generated' from fines imposed by the FIA? McLaren was fined for a not so small sum of £100 million a couple of years ago
which was an obscene amount and wouldn't rule them out receiving another big fine in the coming weeks. Always wonder how they work out the exact amount they
want to fine, do Spanky...erm, Max and Bernie draw up a list of want they want to buy and once they agree then simply pocket the cash once teams have paid the fines?

With the $100M, whatever would have gone to McLaren for its finishing position in the WCC was forfeited and went back into the pot. It was redistributed to the other entrants. IIRC, that would have been about $40M.which was an obscene amount and wouldn't rule them out receiving another big fine in the coming weeks. Always wonder how they work out the exact amount they

The balance was paid by M. to the FIA, which claimed that it would be used to improve safety for "grass-roots" motor sport.
