I've been looking for 12 months so good luck. Nothing special in finding land except lot's of graft and some luck. Keep pestering EAs, research through web sites etc etc etc

Bought ours after 2 years of searching/ unsuccesful offers.
You need to be aggresive in your search, the plot will not just end up in you lap
Look at all planning permision grants in the area you are looking for and cold call them to see if they will sell, speak to local builders who build individual, or 2 or 3 houses at a time and see if they want to realise some cash from their land bank portfolio?
Knock on doors who look like they could have a garden plot avaialble to the side of their house and mainly, remember the perfect plot exists, but not in your price range, compromise and strange shaped plots are what your left with, we build a bungalow but never wanted one, but in the end we are very pleased with the result, possibly more so than if we built a house.
Never give up, just keep trying, you will find lots of plots out their, you just need to make the effort and remember compromise!

Good luck
