Battlefield 1943 - 360 and PS3

Just seen this while looking for news on Bad Company 2.

An update of 1942 being released on X-Box Live Arcade for 1200MS points. June release date.
Appears to be a mainly online game, with updated graphics and intact gameplay from BF1942. Looks like intitial release will be Pacific theatre only hopefully Europe to follow.

Really really looking forward to a proper X-Box version of one of the best online games ever made.

Can't wait for Wake Island and hopefully Omahagh Beach on X-Box. Screw WaW this should rule.

With BF Bad Company 2, BF 1943, Operation Flashpoint and Modern Warfare 2 I am not going to get much work done this year.

From what ive heard, if youre a fan of BF1942 as i am theres not much to look forward to.
all classes can destroy tanks, everyone can heal, infinite ammo and only 24 players :/. As far as battlefield games go its all wrong.

give me BF1942 or BF2 anyday.

Exactly, it's being dumbed down to appeal to a wider audience it seems, just ends up alienating the fans of the series.

i spent ages mastering the Anti-tank class in DesertCombat to the point where i was taking down helicopters and the occasional jet with the RPG-7

not what I've read, and if they felt Xbox players needed dumbing down for then why hasn't BF Bad Comapany been dumbed down? You can't destroy a tank with assualt or support (unless you ace like me). You need to master the classes in Bad Company like 1942 and as 1943 is meant to be.
