As the car is being returned to standard before p/x, I had to get the standard Zetec alloys back. Purchased what I thought was a full set last night.
After checking the listing again, I had a bad feeling that it could possibly only be one alloy included in the sale.

The title says 'Ford Fiesta Zetec Alloy Wheel 15 inch'
and the decription says,

FORD FIESTA 15" ALLOY WHEELS WITH TYRES. OFF A LATE FIESTA

TYRE SIZE 195/50/15 GOOD TREAD

Winner of the wheels can pick them up and pay cash on collection

Ebay Item number is 200332800286

In fairness, I should have asked before the listing finished but also he should have double checked his listing as the description indicates that its plural, 2 or more alloys.

Where do I stand here ?

Paul

sounds like a set to me too - have you not asked the seller to be sure yet?

How many wheel/s were in the picture?

If the description is plural then that means more than one in my book, how much did you pay?

It quite clearly states "wheels" and "them" - the latter can't be passed off as a typo.

Send an email asking them to confirm all four are straight and see what they say.

Though his feedback says he's sold another a fortnight ago - same text - so it probably is only one.

Spoke to him via e-mail,

Me : Hi, just to check that its 4 alloys that are included in my sale ?

Him : nah mate its just the one

Me : your description states wheels .... 'FORD FIESTA 15" ALLOY WHEELS WITH TYRES. OFF A LATE FIESTA
TYRE SIZE 195/50/15 GOOD TREAD
Winner of the wheels can pick them up and pay cash on collection'.
This implys wheels off a late fiesta, ie, all 4 in your description.
Where do we stand here as I need all 4 alloys to return the car to standard ?

Him : yeah but i did only have a pic of one wheel and it did say in the tite Ford Fiesta Zetec Alloy
Wheel 15 inch

Where do I stand ?

Not as described.

Ask him to refund you.

Any dicking about and it's straight to ebay.

Put a complaint to Ebay 'not as described' they will take your side. In future ask questions before you bid

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he tries to palm you off with one wheel/tyre.

Have you seen his feedback?

Last week he sold the same thing using exactly the same listing with the exception of a different tyre pictured.
That listing ended at £63.00 and has had "Excellent" feedback left for it.

EDIT: Note to self. Must refresh tabs before posting. wink

My latest email to him, just waiting for him to come back.

regardless whether there is 1 picture or 4 pictures, your description clearly indicates that there is WHEELS and payment on collection of THEM. this indicates that it is not one wheel therefore you have misled buyers with the description in more than one place.
the item is not as described.
accordingly i wish to mutually withdraw from the sale and have the full amount refunded to my paypal address. i would be willing to pay your relisting fees but as the item is not as described in the description, im not willing to continue with the sale.

To refund you he needs to go to his paypal page and issue you with a refund, you do not need or have to offer any payment of his fees as he can offer it to the guy that bid under you.

What does EFA mean?

Where you going to collect them or have them courier delivered?

If you were intending to collect, you could still do that then file a "Non receipt" claim to Paypal.
You have the wheel and all your money back as the seller will not have proof of postage.

Not that I condone this kind of devious behaviourwhistle
