You should get a Q2 diff fitted too for circa £500. Night and day change - check out www.alfaowner.com (Alrhough I'm not 100% sure they fit on the GTV
Also, go for a Ragazzon cat back exhaust with silenced centre section - again about £500 . All the better for hearing that engine.
Check out www.autodeltashop.com for some choice items. The carbon fibre air intake for around £180 is a good mod.
I'm jealous!

Suspension is the other standard bugbear - not so much the springs & dampers - but the bushes tend to be shot (you'll know they are if there's knocking/bumps& bangs from the suspension). Well worth your while investing in Polybushes at least for the rear. You could do the same for the front but it's probably more cost-effective to just buy two new front arms ( which can be picked up cheaply) which will have new bushes and new ball-joints (which have a tendency to be shot as well).
It sounds hugely labour intensive & costly but it's actually pretty straight-forward, easy to work on, fairly cheap and well worth the effort (especially long-term if you opt for poly bushes)
If you're really lucky the previous owner might have already have done all this as it's a fairly standard 'upgrade'!
