Took these as i was heading out this morning so apologies for the quality.
is there a knack to putting the roof on to stop leaks as in the picture below the roof seems pinched slightly which may have caused it. in the manual it also suggests that you also put left side on first, does that make a difference?

Very nice elise, congratulations, I know you'll love it. But that roof isn't right. My S2 roof doesn't sit like that, nor leak. Have you since taken it off and re-done it? I don't know the purpose of putting passenger side on and off first, but that's how I've always done it and had no problems.
I think it takes a bit of practice to get the roof exactly right - it took me about ten minutes faffing the first time I had mine and dithering like an old woman about if it was right or not. I usually do passenger side first then driver's, pulling it tight and straight before pushing into the slots. (I get extra PH points for all the double entendres in that sentence).
I love the colour of my elise but I have to say yours with the black wheels, is fantastic - great choice.

do you put both sides in the slots before twisting to lock in? as ive been literally doing one side completely then the other side.

I lay it over the bars, locate and click down passenger side first, then drivers side. There is the odd occasion I have to do it twice to get it to lock down, but normally a problem.
exactly the same for me - normally passenger side dropped in the slots, then around the other side to pull the driver's side over, then back down to lock the passenger's side before going back again to lock the driver's side down. Mine spends most of its time when not being used in a garage but on the odd ocassion it has been left in the rain it has never leaked.Edited by limpsfield on Sunday 26th April 20:11
Like i said mate, mine looks the same as yours but on the pax side-just make sure the cables are sitting correctly inside the rollbar/windscreen pillar when you drape it over, dont worry too much.
Thinking about it mine leaked in a downpour in France one night months ago, never done it again since!

thats good to know, i checked the cables were sitting correctly which they are so i'll try not to think sbout it too much more and wait till the next lot of rain which i'm sure wont be long away! Thinking about it mine leaked in a downpour in France one night months ago, never done it again since!

cheers for the help
Looks lovely. The cable in the roof can be adjusted so if it leaks next time, it may be worth checking that it's correctly tensioned. I usually give the roof a little tug along the front before locking the driver side in place.
I'd get a black fuel filler surround and paint the diffuser black, really stealthy

Love it, very nice indeed,. Just make sure the front of the roof 'clicks' home. Mine has a feature where it doesnt always click in place and you're able to lift the roof back off easily without pulling the leavers. If it clicks properly in place, you cannot lift it, I always double and treble check to make sure.
