Flock me!
It's incredible just how much 'car' you can get for your money.
There is imho absolutely NO excuse for driving something dull / sh|te at almost any price point!
From an MX5 at the low end, followed by a 300ZX... Elan... Elise... Cerb... Esprit... 348... 355... 360... Diablo and on it goes!
The only (valid) reason not to have a seriously cool car in some way shape or form is utter disinterest!
...the only other explanation (not a valid reason!
) is sheer lack of imagination!

LHD... Interior is a little tatty and 'self maintained'.
- all of those will affect my buying price were I in the market for one.
- all of those will affect my buying price were I in the market for one.
- I would like to point out that I am not questioning the guy's ability to maintain (should he be here) but if I was a buyer I would *definitely* be 'using' that as a bargaining point.
I spent ages looking for my 348, I looked at one that was first up for £25k, it was the first one I looked at, and it was shocking, it almost made me rethink that these 'older' cars just don't weather so well.
It was advertised as well maintained, excellent condition, enthusiast, FOC member etc etc
The car was a mess... it didn't go into second (ever!) the carpet was frayed, the headlight was smashed, the windscreen was seriously delaminating, and the car was just a dog.
He (a dealer on behalf of a friend etc etc) was reluctant to let me test it (even as a passenger), but he overheard my missus saying "f*ck it, he obviously doesn't want to sell it blah blah blah".
Anyway, we didn't buy that, about a month later it was down to 19k, then 17k, then it (presumably) sold.
It needed some serious money thrown at it to bring it up to scratch, but photographed well.
I held out and bought myself a little peach from a member on CS.
if it looks too good to be true... (you know the rest)
