Well picked up the '86 3.2 (915 gearbox) in the rain this morning, after the rugby. Drove down in the 996 and come back in far more excitement than even I would have thought. Pictures to be taken once the sun comes out and the rain goes away. Next one after this will have to be a 993turbo next year (if job and funds hold out). But for the meantime I plan to enjoy this one, and its difference to my recent porsche ownership experience.

The only tricky thing is trying to sort the laserline alarm / immobiliser. Not sure what its doing. Anyone use it..

I had a laserline 996 alarm/immob on my old 944 and it could be a bit iffy sometimes when setting, and didn't always lock the doors.

so when you used it; did you just press the button on the key fob to set both the alarm and the immobiliser, or did you use the thing which you insert into the fitting in the dash. It also sets itself again very quickly when sitting in the car or opening up the bonnet.
