Quick disc brake adapter numpty question please.

Hi chaps,

In the process of collecting all the necessary bits for my dream build. One quick question though is what disc brake adapter will I need to fit a 203mm rotor onto a pair of 07 lyriks with a marta sl IS mount caliper?

Am I right in thinking that the Lyriks have direct post mount for 185mm rotors so I need to buy an adapter +20mm? like the one below:-

If you are correct about the Lyriks, then I'd say you are right, did a similar thing going from 160PM to 180IS with a hope +20mm adaptor. Why do some rotors go 160mm, 180mm, 203mm?

Or buy the Marta 203mm post mount?

If you fit a +20mm adaptor to the 185 post mount then you'll move the calliper to 205mm (not 203mm) which means your pads will be hitting the rotor in a funny place (although only 1mm out).

The right mounts are available from the brake manufacturer so why not use them. Indeed any 203mm post mount adaptor will work - I think Shimano are the cheapest on CR at the moment.
