Was lucky enough to take my Murcielago roadster out the other week with the roof off following Peter Saywell in his orange Zonda F clubsport the whole way up to Horsham. Lovely sound. Was a real privilage, especially as the car had already been sold and was awaiting collection. Probably his last event out with it. In front of his Zonda was his also beautiful blue Koenigsegg (my favourite car I've ever seen in the flesh). A real "pinch me" moment.

Both the Zonda and Kegg are awesome cars. Ive sat in a blue Kegg myself, very surreal car to sit in, a 2 foot side sill to climb over to get into, just crazy and that windscreen........anyway, both awesome cars but favourite was the Zonda, felt the Kegg was too kit car feeling.

Pete, have you sat in both, I'm sure you'll know what i mean?

I have sat in the purple 'segg and a Zonda C12s 7.0. I thought they were both superb. The Pagani had an interior worthy of [my experience of] an Aston Martin - the quality was surreal and attention to detail was second to none.

I have to disagree with the 'segg comment. I had a very close look at one over an hour and a half and the only thing that I would pick up on for the quality were the exterior badges and one or two seals - they looked like someone had glued them on with airfix glue. Inside I thought the interior was very nice - nothing especially amazing though.

Out of the two I think the 'segg was surprisingly easy to get in an out of, considering the size of the door sill.

Both cars, generally are stunning but the interior of the Zonda is outstanding. The general aesthetics of the CC8s are stunning imo. Both cars give you a feeling of being in something epic, that is above the feeling of a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. I am just sad that I never got a chance to go out in either!

That's my 2p worth.

Here is a video tour of the CC8s that I took:

and some stills of the car:

I do admit, I didnt mind climbing in to the Kegg smile

As for the kit car feel comment i made, truthfully when i think about it and looking at your stills video, i suppose its just such a radical design to get a grasp of. It really is a very different car from any other.

What a terrible experience that must have been wink. I absolutely love the Zonda and Koenigsegg, they are very high up there in my fantasy garage!

I've never seen the interior of the 'egg before... That's some unique design! I'm very impressed. The steering wheel looks like a major fail though! frown

For me, the Zonda gets me evry time! I think only the Countach and the Esprit evoke a similar emotional response from me! smile

...and the engine sound!!!!!! ( *admits* ) Best thing ever made by Germany! (but it took the Italians to make it sound like that tongue outwink ) hehe

ETA
Oh yeah.... Fat Man Lambo Limbo! PMSL! OMG That was funny!

Was horrid. wink Very tempted to sell up all the cars and go for one. Love the interior and the way the roof also comes off. Just a perfect car to me.

I've had the pleasure of being in a 'Segg as well, actually at the same place and time as you! Agree about the sill on it, was massive. Although not in the Zonda it'd be the car I'd have out of the 2. Just better looking, more mad.

a while ago I had a debate with a friend of mine over buying a Koeniggsegg, Zonda or Veyron. It was late at night and we were on the third bottle of wine.

interstingly I was sozzled and trying to make some sense, he was marginally less sozzled, but deadly serious about the debate.

which is not that unusual for a blokes' debate, you might comment, but what struck me the next day is that is actually is a debate for some people, and sure enough he has ordered a Veyron.

Bear in mind his current garage already has CarreraGT, Murcielago, Gallardo, F430, 996Turbo, and some prototypes.....

I like to think I was some help in the decision hehe
