Seen this T350 for sale

Looks in pretty bad shape!

How much do you guys think it would cost to sort it out?!

It needs a respray (or new bonnet at least), also re-trim on the interior.

I am suprised to see this car treated like this...

maybe 800 for the bonnet, 200 for the seat, 200 for the wheels?

Having said that it's only on 5K at the mo, with no reserve, so for that money it's a steal.

You are right! A lot of the pictures are taken from outside (which is strange)!

Tatoo will probably peel off. Both seats will need a re-trim, doing 1 will not match the other.

Also the seller can't spell and has a bad grasp of English !!!! something doesn't add up with this sale.

apart from the seat (and the tattoo - why indeed), it doesn't look too bad, the description says the bodywork is good and it's also had a rebuild which is positive news too. i would imagine it would go for more than 11k.

interesting the pics are from the outside, i thought that too, maybe he's 'selling it' for a neighbour who happens to be on holiday??!!

just to add.. the seats in these do go like that quite regularly, it's just where the pressure is applied getting in and out ('cause it's quite tight).

I had my drivers side seat done when i bought mine and it matches the passenger seat perfectly.

What about the whole 'speedo doesn't work' thing...is that a typical issue.

This car seems like it might be a potential bargain, but I forsee problems with it.

I dont' want to buy from someone who neglected it.

Where would you get it re-trimmed?

TVR dealer could get it re-trimmed.

My speedo sometimes says 0 for a couple of seconds on the digital display (when i'm moving), i guess some are a bit twitchy. You can get all these parts replaced though if they fail completely, doesn't sound like this one has though.

There are two speedo's, one digital & on the dials, so i guess you've got a back up!

I think it is the transducer that fails - had this happen on mine and when this happens both the digital and the dial stop working (as of course does the odometer).

The problems he has stated are common on T350's so it makes sense, however the whole no reserve and pics taken from outside sounds a bit dodgy? Can you view it? Or maybe ask him for a pic taken from inside the car to see if he does have access?

yeah i agree with Lensey.

I would expect a car like this to go for 17/18K at least. If the price ends up being too good to be true, then it probably is (not wanting to put a damper on things, it's probably fine, but worth checking).

You can see how it looks like a dodgy sale but I think it's just down to a poor advert and photos.

I don't care if I sound like a snob, but would you guys buy a car from someone who speaks like this?

He sounds like Ali G! Considering the car, I would be really suprised if he cared for it as it supposed to be i.e. warming it up properly etc.

Don't think it is worth 17k...maybe 12k at a push...and then I would expect to have to spend money on it.

I'm sure it's been repaired but that doesn't mean it's something to stay away from. I would not buy without seeing first. No doubt with this being a hidden bidder sale and a "no reserve" his mate will be bidding it up for him.

Yeah...However, they fact that it is 'de-bagded' just makes me question the previous owner even more.

I don't like the fact that if you win you have to shed out £500 deposit before you even see it? Maybe a scam to get £500 then disappear?

I've never like ebay though so maybe its just me?
If i was going to spend that amount of money on a car i would be looking for one thats being sold by a member of here. A bit of an enthusiast? This person sounds like he bought it drove it round like a looney and something sounds a bit faulty or he knows somethings faulty and now he wants rid?
