Hi, does anyone have any interesting savoury pie recipes, I am thinking along the lines of steak & oyster or chicken & chorizo.

Thanks in advance.

Pheasant pie is lovely. Although you will have a bit of wait (unless you have some in the freezer)

Rabbit is also nice. Just make a gravy and add in a bit of bacon and some spuds.

As you may of gathered I love game.

Can have a dig around for some proper recipes, but I don't usually use them.

Slow braised shin/flank of beef with shallots, thyme and brown ale with a short pastry case, and puff pastry crust is a favourite of mine.

I can post the recipe if you are interested.

little scotch pies are awesome, minced lamb/mutton well seasoned wrapped in pastry made from flour and lard and hot water!!! truly simply awesome!

You could always attempt that antipodean favourite the "Steak and cheese" pie, snack food of the gods after a session on the ale.

That sounds frightenly like serial killer talk!

Look up Heston's recipe for oxtail & kidney pudding. IAbsolutely delicious (although only when I have it at the Hind's head. I don't have the energy to make it myself)
