Just wondered if anybody is running Toyo Proxi's and if so are they any better than the standard fit Continental's?
Tyre size is 235/40/18 if that makes any difference

This may not help, but I recently fitted a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2 to my B5 RS4 and can highly recommend them, they have improved the ride considerably. (255 35 18)

They werent cheap £200 each but if you haggle you can get the price down. (Some places quoted £250 each for these)

One of the best rated tyres at the moment are the Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta. Excellent reviews and very cheap. Just had 4 fitted toi my A6 Le Mans and the wipe the floor with the previous dunlops and pirellis before them. They cost £150 each fitted for 255/35 r19 xl

I have Kumho KU31's on mt 2.0TDI S-line A4 and they are great. Managed 14k on the fronts and there is still life in them. I have also fitted Falken 452's on wifeys ED30 GTI which were highly recomended and they are superb and only 74 squid a corner

The conti's are really pretty rubish, there dont offer much grip and dont last very loing either.

Mich pilot sports are the very best, loads of grip, but are very soft, so dont last any longer than the conti's and are very expensive. The Toyo's would be better than the conti's for much less money.

We're mostly selling Goodyears in this size at the mo, they are very good, better than bridgstone and continental.

It you really want to save money, Kumho are surprising good, even it they are Korean.
