Evening all.

Has anyone ever been to a Muddybottom Pay & Play day at Minstead? I have an 06 LR Disco III that I don't want to scratch or damage and wondered if this would be suitable to go and have a soft play?

I think they request mud tyres and recovery points? How is yours shod?
Muddy bottom is quite an artificial site.It is basically a large sloped field which has been dug out with a 360 excavator. Some see this as a challenge, but from my own point of view it is too samey. We had not been to the site for almost a year, and revisited a couple of weeks ago, after being told there were many new sections. We didn't feel there was enough to tempt us back for a while again. It might be best if you go and visit as a spectator and make your own mind up.
For a "shiny" you might be better off on one of the larger sites(Slab,Broxhead or Hogmoor, all at Bordon) These tend to be less damaging in that there are much more routes and tracks to explore, and some pretty open areas where you won't be foreced to rub against a tree! The AWDC are running an event at Slab on the 10th of May along with a Heavy event,so there will be some interesting vehicles there too.
