Cam cover sealant?

Exactly what sort of sealant should I use when refitting the cam covers please?

ive used wynns black selant from the motor factors. resistant to oil, petrol and high temperatures upto 170 degrees or something.

cost me £8 a tube and its in a new power can where you pop the top and squirt no sealer gun required.

I used black silicone - and the bl**dy things leak slightly.
