Hi everyone,

Just to say my Noble turned up in the very early hours of this morning, and I'm very pleased with it! Its a 52 reg. titanium silver 2.5. I live on the outskirts of sunny Aberdeen, so if anyone in the area ever fancies a drive on a weekend let me know.

It arrived on an open lorry from down south, it got quite wet on the journey and when i started it up there was some belt noise from the engine, but after a quick drive I think they dried out, and it sounds fine now. Wondered if anyone else had experience of that problem?

Cheers

Rob.

Hi,

2 or 3 of us Noble owners live in & around Aberdeen.

I am in Westhill.

I regularly go for a Sunday spin out to Braemar - when the sun is out!

Belt noise is common and was discussed on the forum a couple of weeks back. A little silicon spray apparently is the answer. My 2.5 does exactly the same thing if too much water gets in. 20 minutes later it's back to normal.

Thanks bernhund for the info, thats put my mind at rest!. I think i've seen your car a few times Jaz, I used to have a grey Dax Cobra and often saw you on the road to Braemar or in Aberdeen, nice car!

And one less Noble in Scotland, as my car has now headed down to East Sussex. Was very sorry to see it go after over 4 great years.

Have a new Nissan GT-R to replace it. Still running it in but not 100% convinced I will enjoy it as much as the Noble. Can get the kids in the back though.

Its a small world Kevin. 2 weeks ago a person interested in buying a Noble was looking for a friendly fellow in the south to show him a Noble and perhaps talk good and bad points. Enter me and a quick blat around Sevenoaks. I even let him drive. Sounds like he was smitten coz I reckon he bought yours. He told me he bought a red 3R in Scotland last week and enjoyed a 500 mile blast back home!

Bernhund,

That's right! I heard your car was holding up well as a daily driver- really solid.

Cheers,
Kevin

That'd be me... so, yes, you're partly responsible for Scotland having one fewer Noble this week wink . Gutted that I didn't have more time to make the journey though; passed by some great roads on the way down (and had the company of another pistonhead in a TVR for part of the journey). Guess I'll just have to give it a Scottish holiday one day... smile

Its quite amazing really how few nobles there are in the UK, there are only ever around 20 cars for sale on the internet! JAZ where do you get your car serviced, any decent places near Aberdeen? I had heard JD engineering in Insch were good?

Hey there

I'm also in Aberdeen, there are about 7 or 8 in the town i believe, most only come out in the sunshine though, i drive mine daily so you'll prob see it kicking around. Same colour too.

If you need a hand doing any work on the car just give me a shout, i've had most of my car apart to fix niggles and change things (gaskets, drive shafts, turbo's etc, my cars been through it all)

Hey Graham, yeah I must admit I wont really be using it every day. But its a lot more fun to drive than my old Dax Cobra replica, that was fast in a straight line, but this thing is just awesome!

I have noticed a weird noise if I let off the accelerator when in gear sometimes, like a bumping noise, seems to come from middle of car. But apart from that it goes pretty well.

Will drop you a message sometime.

Rob.

Hi Dave,

Didn't want to mention names just incase I was completely wrong!

Just had a look at your fantasy garage; there's a Noble M12 in there. You'd better delete that and add it to your current fleet!clap

hi fellow Aberdeenshire owners! Does that offer of help with problems extend to myself Graham? I currently have an annoying squeek/rub coming from rear passenger side. Was hoping to get the wheel off and change the bearing and have a look at the hub. If none of them then I think it could be a diff bearing!

Mine is a black 3r from Balmedie

Hahaha that's quite a claim. Some would say the colour might put you out of the running wink

Coincidentally, I'm the best at modesty in the whole world.

Last Aberdeen meet was last year at Millers Restaurant. Been a while since we had one. I am in Westhill.
