Bunty was a great cat full of beans enjoyed life as cats do and always liked a game or two with his toys.

But alas the last few months he was suffering with a tumor in his head and nose, his quality of life went down hill very quickly.

We took the decision to put him to rest today a very sad day after 17 years but we felt it to be the best for him. So at 15:15 Bunty was gone no more suffering for him, he had also stopped eating and was unable to sleep in the last 2 days.

I will miss his silly ways.

RIP Bunty no more pain mate.

Here he is.

We chose not to have children so he really was a massive part of the family but we still have his sister, she is called Baby and is 18 years old

Pic of them both together

Handsome cat, brave but correct decision to have made, we had to make a decision a few weeks ago, our 16yr old was suffering a brain tumour and though she was still eating and sort of coping her neurological signs were worsening, she wasn't in obvious pain but we didn't want to watch her worsening and keep struggling on. We only had her 6 years (unwanted pet they had asked for her to be put down because they were moving but the vet refused) but I still miss her quirky ways. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your kind words and yes it is hard but I know it was the right choice for him.

Sorry to hear that. Well done you, though, for making the right decision.

Not a cat person, as you may have assumed from the name, but we had to make a similar decision with the eponymous dog. It's very hard (it was on our whole family), but it's for the best. My sympathy.
