XT Hollowtech II chainring question
Discussion
The smallest ring on my crank is holding onto the chain as I'm climbing, the teeth are hooked with use.
So I need to replace it, but I'm not paying silly XT prices - the stupid thing obviously uses cheap metal, its only lasted 6 months. The cheapo rings on my Rockhopper have lasted 6 years!
So which rings are compatible with a 2008 XT Hollowtech II crank?

Give Middleburn a call, they seem to stock everything and are still one of the best aftermarket ring suppliers (and British too).
Oh and they do pretty colours

Deore chainrings all the way. The only reason to buy XT/R is to dispose of unnecessary money... Unless you're a SERIOUS weight weenie.
Deore.
Deore.
Cheap and they last. Although the comment about Middleburn Harcoat rings is a good call too. Supposed to be long-lasting. It depends how much of a masher you are?

No Deore at CRC or many other places either. I may well order the 4-bolt 22T of one of these:

Or I may also look at the Middleburn stuff (I really fancy one of those breaking-bolts).
