... is a perfect example of how this new layout fails, as back when it was in the P&P it used to get loads of replies and there was some good debate, but now it gets hardly any replies thanks to the limited coverage it gets in that sub-sub-forum.

I agree.

Apprentice threads used to get 4-5 pages during the episode (although I've never understood why this is), and then 10+ pages after.

Now it seems 2-3 pages per episode.
