Is there a problem with my forks?

Last night I noticed my Rockshox Revelations were making quite a pronounced Ffssssssst sort of noise under compression. Does that mean something's leaking?

They seem to be working more or less okay, but I've never noticed them making so much noise before.

I'm no expert but, if this is a new noise the oil might be getting a bit thick and in need of a change. My 36's make the same sort of noise after I had them custom tuned by Mojo for my ample girth.

My Recons do it when I set the compression to anything other than full bounce. I presumed it was something to do with the way the regulation works?

Mine make the same noise, but they're working fine.

Probably just being paranoid then. I could have sworn it'd got more noticeable though.

You'll find most air shocks do this. My Fox Talas RLC's make this noise and you hear it quite loudly when riding through the trails.....

My Float RLCs (oil/air) only make this noise when its time for a service - might be an idea to get the seals checked/changed.

They're of to TF Tuned to get PUSH'd at the end of this season.

Since it'll be about a 3 week turnaround minimum since I live in Austria, I'm just going to wait until the December before I send them off.

Oh har-de-har I had spotted you're in Europe - living in Australia means we're also quite used to people getting the two mixed up. The emphasis in my statement is of course that we, in Australia, also have to get our Fox Forks sent away, like you, in Austria. Though I don't imagine you send yours to Melbourne. Or do you...???
