Me and some mates are thinking of going to Alton Towers tomorrow as we have just handed in out final year disserations.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any discount codes or vouchers you can get at the mo? Ive tried googling but it just comes up with out of dae codes. It's £29 to buy it online, which is a pretty big hit, I've always just bought a big variety pack of walkers crisps and got a half price voucher. SO if anyone has any ideas that would be great!

Have you got a Mastercard which you can use to pay for the tickets on the gate? If so, you can get 2 for 1 - let me know if you want the voucher mailing to you.

Sun has/had 2 for 1. I've got a voucher, let me check dates.

Sorry, thrown it obviously!

I think it was valid for spring, excluding a few dates.

That's lucky. As a student he must have thousands of these vouchers but just didn't realise it wink

Me and my girlfriend went yesterday as we had free tickets.

I hope you've got deep pockets!

At lunchtime it was a choice of KFC or Burger King (or a Grill Bar that was rammed).

We opted for BK as the KFC smelled awful. For two meals it cost me the best part of £15. And those were regular, had I gone 'large' or 'super' then it'd have been about £17.

Or there's Hot Dogs. How about a Hot Dog? Nothing special, just the sort you'd get at, say, The Odeon. A snip at £4.25 each.

Then there's the £5 we had to pay to leave the car park.

All part of the fun...

The car park was a joke though, £5. I'd have parked else where, but you can't!

There is also a "all you can eat" pizza place too. Not ideal, but my preference over burgers. Although not good to do the all you can eat challenge then go on rides!

There's a pizza place? I missed that! Would have preferred pizza to burgers.

And i disagree, it's not 'part of the fun', it's obscene. Every step of the way it feels they're raping you. For example, let's make you pissed wet through on Ripsaw, then charge you £2 to dry yourself off! I'm surprised they don't charge for the toilets, or the air you breathe.

The very fact they have this huge Burger King that was completely empty shows it's ridiculous. There's no reason they can't charge the same prices as a regular BK, they might actually fill the place too!

We go once a year but the ONLY way we go is by staying in the hotel the night before and getting in one hour early (and then buying some que jumpper tickets as well) Last time there we did Nemisis 4 times on the trot with no que biggrin

Would never go and que up with the "public" to storm in at 10am....if i couldnt afford the hotel i'd stay home and slide down the stairs on a tea tray.
