Anyone help? I have an Elise S1. The speedo needle is all over the place until I reach 40 mph when it settles down. After a while it starts to read normally. I'm playing 'guess the speed' at the moment!
cheers

Could be the wheel speed sensor needs a clean, its on one if the rear hubs, can't remember off the top of my head which side it is. I had a similar thing where my speedo kept coming in and then cutting out. Cleaned the road grime off the sensor and it works a treat!

Just reading the Service Notes, the wheel speed sensor "is mounted on a bracket fixed to the left hand rear hub carrier". The notes mention that the gap between the sensor and the toothed pole wheel should be 0.25 to 1.25mm, and it should be ensured that the toothed ring does not become clogged with mud or accumulated dirt, so maybe this is your problem?

Thanks very much. I'll take a look at the weekend.
