Why would you want want to go to a restaurant to eat in pitch black and be served by blind waiters? This has confused me. I could understand if you had a blind partner and wanted to share their experience. Has anyone been, if so why did you go?

I guess it is all about heightening the taste buds by depriving the body of another sense?
Sounds daft to me.

You wouldn't want them to ladle-serve the soup at the table....

Ah I've wanted to go here for so long!! Thought you were going to say you've been and give a review.
Try anything once and all that....

A friend went and it did heighten the senses - she could really tell that the food was st. No plans to return.

I've been and found it a bizarrely humbling experience. For me it was definitely a once-only experience, but if you want to try something different (or surprise the other half) I would suggest trying once. Agreed though - the food was very average.

I hadn't thought about heightened taste buds, sounds fair. Though for me, I go to a restaurant to enjoy a well cooked meal, presented nicely in pleasant surroundings. If I order a steak I want to see the cut and how many peas they give me. Bad to hear that the food is average, I'd expect very much top quality for such a bizarre experience.
