Command APS and MP3's help

I've having problems playing mp3's on in my 2008 C320. I've tried from CD and also memory card in the pcmia slot. I want to copy the files to the built in hard drive but with both mediums it is saying there are no valid mp3 files on there. Anyone managed to play these succesfully? I beleive the command system is the same across the model range now.

Do they need to be in a particularly-named folder on the disk/memory stick, rather than the root? I know some (non-MB) ones do ....

According to the manual they can be in the root folder but I guess its worth a pop, will try tomorrow cheers.
