FIFA09 - slow online games

Finally got my PS3 wired up via Comtrend Power adaptors. One hour of online Resistance 2 with no jerkiness, slow-downs etc, perfect.

Then put on FIFA - categorise the lobby players by connection strenght (mine is 3 bars and green) to ensure I play against people with good connections, but every game has been slow and jerky.

Any ideas why and how I could fix this - very frustrating.

i have just found it to be a bit hiut and miss. in general if it takes them ages to click ready on the club logo/team page then the connection is crap.........

I think its got worse since they introduced Ultimate team due to shear numbers playing

True - is that feature any good? Have not been arsed so far.

Question - if I go into the online lobbies and invite someone to a game...can two of us play one person? i.e. if I have a mate over can he be on my side playing against someone online?
