Went to his live show last night in Salford, second time I've been now and its beyond me how he does somethings! Clearly he's a clever eccentric chap and very good and power of suggestion and reading peoples re-actions. But somethings he did last night were amazing.

Anyone else seen him live?

I haven't, but a mate of mine is paying £450 for some weekend course on 'speed reading' and 'memory recall', which is hosted by Darren Brown.
He's convinced it will work but we'll wait and see.

Most of it is old fashioned prop magic / sleight of hand wrapped up with showmanship to make it look like he is using clever psychological techniques.

He is very, very good at it though.

Saw him last year, to be honest I dont care if its all fake its very very good.
In fact I figure its just as impressive a feat of trickery if its is all bullst as if its real.

I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.

Absolutely, it is ALL fake. But he delivers it so well, that he still completely fools you and that's the whole point isn't it. For you to go away at the end of the evening scratching your head as to how he does it.

Even if, once you knew, it is incredibly simple.

But all magic is fake, everyone knows that don't they ?

Picking random people from the audience using frisbies makes you think it is random etc. But I have doubt whether these people chose were fakes etc!

From the shows I've seen of Derren Brown, it doesn't matter who gets picked. It doesn't influence the outcome of the trick at all.

Have seen him twice now, all very good fun.

And yes some of the tricks do blow the mind.

I didn't know he was on; I woud have gone to that. I saw the live show that they recorded and showed on the telly and was very impressed.

Seeing him in Sheffield in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it.

As others have said - its all just trickery but he is such a good showman.

I saw him last year, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I didn't realise that he had a twitch until I saw him live either, he's certainly a very clever chap.

Surely the clever chap would be the person who comes up with all his tricks for him wink

Derren just executes them perfectly smile

Saw him play at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh a couple of years ago... as has been said before, I don't know how he does it and I don't want to know, all I can say is that he is VERY good at what he does!
