My car is put away for the winter. Took it on it's last drive of the year on Sat. Just before the snow storm. I don't know what we got I suppose somewhere about 6-8 inches of snow. Must now turn to snowboards for speed and turns for the duration of the winter.

Is there anything special you do to "put the car in storage". Will be doing this for the first time. Been told the product Sta-bil is really a good idea for the fuel. Is humidity a concern, etc?

I usually do an oil change, check antifreeze effectiveness with a gravity test, fill my tires at bit more than normal to help prevent flat spots, take as much fuel out as possible and fill up with premium non-ox gasoline if you can find it. Special pumps for gas with no ethanol. Usually found near boating or snowmoblie places. Then I use Stabil at 1 oz per every 2 1/2 gal gas. put in both tanks in equal amounts, then drive it for a few miles to run it through the entire system. Then in spring use all the gas re-fuel then reset the ECU. Use leathrique for the leather in spring and fall. Start car at least once a month, run the A/C, or use a trikle chargeer for the battery.

What, all that and no car cover? On using Leatherique, I enjoy the waxy luster my new seats have. Does this product make it shiny? Would like to avoid the shiny look, so looking for a product that maintains the leather but steers clear of the shiny Armor-All look. Any thoughts?

I don't use any fancy car cover. I use to what is refered to as a dust cover. Got it in Wal-mart of all places. It's in a garage so the cover does not need to water proof and it breathes.

Went shopping and while at Wal-Mart my wife remarks don't you need a car cover? So I say What are the chances of them having a Lotus car cover. Well she shows me the box and right on it lists Lotus Turbo Esprit. Good fit instead of mirror pockets they have wings that fit over the mirrors. But hey 30 USD it's better than a bed sheet over it.

The leatherique is a moisturizer and cleaner. It does not leave the leather shiney. It may affect some light color stitching and piping if they are lighter than the color of the leather. I have black interior and stitching so it did not matter for me. I have heard it turned some beige stitching darker.

You have heard correctly. Only a tad, though. The best results I have found to date for the lighter interior is Connolly Hide Food. It is slowly becoming "unobtanium" however...
