Peter Jackson's (Lord Of The Rings) top secret film has today seen the first trailer released. Many thought it was to be a take on the game Halo but its not.

Viral marketing a-la Cloverfield abounds about this film...see here:

First Trailer, see here:

Although the effects look cool I do hope its not an updated 'Alien Nation'

Sounds like Alien Nation in S.A. instead of the mojave desert to me?

(note, haven't seen the trailer just read the one line on the link page!).

Looks interesting smile

The music in the trailer sounds like the score from Steven Soderbergh's remake of the film Solaris. Excellent score btw smile

Cheers.

This comes out today and it looks awesome! Supposedly low budget but definitely a 'film for the cinema'

I am right in thinking that Peter Jackson is just the producer and not the director? Correct?

Saw this last week.
Ws hoping for a bit more of a political undertow, but it ends up being a pretty straightforward oppression/escape/action film albeit on a low budget.

Overall, disappointed.

Wrong - that thread is the Repost - this came first.

Anyway...

Saw it last night and have to say its one of my films of the year.

Weaponry is fantastic and looks authentic, story zips along at a fair pace and you're rooting for the underdog.

All in all - well worth the admission price and highly recommended.
