Try these guys www.skyinsurance.co.uk/

I'm with them. They're good value and sympathetic to mods.

All of the insurers I've been in touch with will cover a Monaro or VXR8, but don't want to know about the GTS - including Adrian Flux frown

Had VXR8 quotes from £590.

It's just like the VXR8, only difference from outside is, the upper grill part just under bonnet, the mirror mounts/bases and the side vents, are black, as far as I can see.

Has clever suspension though and was available with a red and black interior.

It has Magnetic Ride Control (MRC). Although I understand it, I couldn't describe it simply:P

Maybe, someone else could describe it simply?

It's also on the HSV Senator Signature, Cadillac CTS-V, Ferarri 599 and Corvette ZR1... and one of the Audi TT'shurl and the Audi R8 (I think).

Picked it up yesterday and, yes, very excited. bounce

It was raining when I got it, first time I've slithered up a road when changing from third to fourth in an auto! hehe

Hi, yes the magnetic ride, there are metal filings in the oil within the shock, a magnet surounds the shock and when switched on, ie sports mode, the metal filings all come together making it harder for the oil to flow thus hardening up the shock..............

Insurance update:

MCE with around a grand - Zurich

Stuart Collins at £1.5k with full EU cover - Axa

Hadn't heard about Chris Knott, phoning them Tuesday, thanks.

No one else interested in covering the GTS.

For ref I have 9 yrs NCB (car), 6 yrs NCB (car with commercial travel) and 6 yrs NCB (HGV), live in West Wales (very low risk), married, kids, well over 30 and SP30 fixed penalty. Do these quotes seem reasonable?confused

Yeah try greenlight.

Also you can "try" and explain its the same as the vxr8 with different suspension and interior. Power output is the same anyway.
