Nitrons

Thinking of going down the Nitron route sometime in the near future.
Questions: who supplies them? how much to buy all 4 corners? any good for everyday use on the road? If not, an alternative? what about refurbing of originals? who sets it all up properly in the south east?

depends on which kit you purchase and which springs.
I have one way adjustables, a bit harder on the road but better on track.
I think the lads at Brunters will set them up for you.

I'll be picking up a set of new shocks tomorrow from black art designs, using the standard springs, as mine is a road car and just going to do the odd trackday. When fitted i'll try and post some pics and let you know what i think if your interested? Should work out a lot cheaper than nitrons but depends what you want i guess.

what settings do you you guys use for track? i think the settings alexs suggested were -8 front and rear which i've tried and seem good. definately more grip over standard shocks. i do get a grinding/vibrating noise when really cornering hard on track. which happens less when i use a harder setting. tried -7 front+rear but still there. any ideas? just keep trying harder settings?

the -8 settings were for a 3 or 3r as far as i know, being an m400 will this be different as standard shocks are harder on m400 (i think)

I have the 1 way Nitrons with the Eibach spring option fitted to my 3R. They were set up by Dave at Bruntingthorpe, I went for M400 ride height which is a little lower than the standard set up.

On the road I use front -13 and rear -12 and on the track -8 on both which seems just fine for me.

Chaps Ray West is the chap to do a Nitron Setup down south. I havent got nitrons on my car, but have a few friends that have use him to fit and set up their car.
